The travelling exhibition “Big country — big ideas” is a part of NEMOSKVA project aiming to develop contemporary culture in the Russian regions. The architecture of the exhibition is influenced by its mobility.

During one month the exhibition that was put together in Saint Petersburg travelled through 13 cities including Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Tobolsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok. The design of exhibition modules and chosen materials take in consideration the peculiarities of logistics so that the constructions and their initial quality are preserved.

The exhibition celebrates yet unrealized artistic projects: 15 mobile stands are packed in 15 boxes which make up a press wall featuring exhibition’s manifesto. In every city listed above the press wall also works as a platform for local artists where they can demonstrate their projects and be judged by invited curators. The projects picked by experts and added to the main exhibition carry on travelling into the depth the Trans-Siberian Railway in special compartments developed solely for them.

The exhibition modules are made in several typologies so that different projects match with stands that suit them best. The variety and laconism of exposition’s design make it easy to adopt the exhibition to any space where it is held.
